Bodegas Pittacum, Mencia Tinto 2020 Eisenberg violet notesThis is Mencia, Bierzo's native grape, treated to a sojourn in barrel to great effect. The rich, velvety texture and dense, darker cherry fruit offer a far more opulent take on the grape while its naturally high acidity keeps its feet on the ground. One for a rich, rib sticking supper on a cold night. The abundant alcohol is well disguised.
