As with any vacuum analysing tool you connect the pipes to the intake outlets which are sometimes on the carbs or little stub pipes on the inlet rubbers as in the case of Kawasaki's mighty Z1 series bikes

but they cost loads of money and take up loads of workshop space and can't be transported to the side of a road to change a tyre on a stricken bike

Don't forget to put a drop of BondLoc B243 on the threads to halt corrosion and ensure they don't come loose. Then you simply hook the paddock stand into them to lift the bike for easy maintenance.
