TEFILIN, A Chassidic Discourse by Rabbi Nathan of Breslov Harav Shimon our children - and ourselvesIn Chassidic thought, the outer practices of Judaism are the "body" while the inner meaning and significance of those mitzvot are the "soul." In this translation of Likutey Halakhot, Tefilin 5, Reb Noson probes the "soul" of the mitzvah of tefilin from every angle the Torah portions, parchments, capsules, straps, knots, Rashi and Rabbeinu Tam tefilin, and more connecting it to the very essence of Jewish wisdom and belief.
