Rat King Framed Display Shadowboxes Real preserved Japanese Giant HornetA phenomena first discovered nearly 500 years ago, a Rat King occurs in nature when three or more rats (or mice) become entangled with one another via their tails. It is unclear exactly what causes the knot, whether it be the erratic and spontaneous movement of the rats' long, fleshy tails or the presence of a sticky substance like tree sap or dirt.
