2019 Merlot Veronese I noticed that the barkeepGenerally known as one of the lighter red wines, Merlot is often blended with bigger reds to round out their sometimes hollow mid palate. Merlot at Caldwell, however, is in a class all its own. Grown on some of our steepest hillsides, our Merlot is round, thick, dense and structured. Think classic rock. Rich, balanced and luscious.
