the 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Sorbo is magnificent

Moderate reduction dominates the nose at present

This is a lighter wine for the appellation but there is plenty of character and it’s focused like a laser

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Martha's Vineyard boasts gentle eucalyptus and vanilla shadings accenting bolder notes of cassis and black cherries

Initially there is a trace of reduction present though aggressive swirling is able to liberate a strikingly elegant

Cain, Cain Five Vintage:2007 the 2016 Chianti Classico GranLot 7. Mid, very shaded garnet. Complex nose (and Im two thirds of the way through the tasting and this is the first time Ive used the word complex). Delicate and distinctive. Brooding and bloody. Round and rich. Just a little bit sweet on the end but a very good effort.
