the 2008 is more mineral

My only real criticism of Roederer is the estates insistence on using lot numbers that resemble missile launch codes in their complexity

It produced interesting wines specifically in Barbaresco and almost nowhere else in Northern Italy

and this was the most expressive bottle that I've drunk to date

but the plummy fruit and spicy wood appear to be nicely integrated

The suave, rich and enveloping medium bodied flavors still manage to be nicely precise while delivering solid if not exceptional depth and persistence on the bitter pit fruit inflected finish.
